About 4FX

4FX Self-Defense:

The definition of "4FX" is derived from a line in "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu: "Fire overcomes the wind; it cannot be attacked from below." This signifies that fire can gain an advantage and cannot be easily attacked by opponents.

Fire, like water, is intangible. Water flows downward, while fire rises upward.

The significance of fire lies in its intangible nature, similar to the formlessness of water.
Fire always rises, which means that our martial arts can start from the very bottom and gradually progress upward, transforming from ground-level combat to achieving a standing position.

4FX comprises four forms of techniques,
including:
1) standing techniques,
2) wrestling techniques,
3) ground techniques, and
4) weapon techniques.

4FX Practical Self-Defense

The application of 4FX self-defense techniques in real combat situations involves flexible use based on different contexts and opponents.

1.Standing Techniques: This includes striking, kicking, boxing, and other direct attack techniques used in close combat and for countering opponents' attacks. These techniques may involve quick and effective strikes and kicks, as well as defense and evasion against the opponent's attacks.

2.Wrestling Techniques (Throwing and Control Techniques): These techniques are used to gain control over the opponent and quickly subdue them. They include throwing, control techniques, joint locks, and other methods to quickly bring the opponent to the ground, thereby reducing their ability to attack. Ground Fighting Techniques: These techniques are employed in ground combat, including grappling, control techniques, and ground strikes.

3. Ground fighting is used to control the opponent and immobilize them on the ground, limiting their freedom of movement. Weapon Techniques: This involves the use of various weapons such as knives, sticks, swords, etc.

4.Weapon techniques can extend the range and power of attacks and provide defensive capabilities. In actual combat, weapon techniques allow for the selection and application of appropriate weapons as needed.

By integrating these techniques, the goal of 4FX self-defense is to protect oneself and quickly subdue opponents in real combat situations. It emphasizes flexibility, responsiveness, and effective attack and defense techniques to address different combat scenarios and opponents. Of course, in practical application, individual physical conditions, skill proficiency, and the abilities and strategies of opponents need to be taken into account.
